About Me
Wertstatt Moabit is a lively community hub in the heart of Berlin, where people come together to tackle plastic waste hands-on. From shredding to molding, we empower neighbors, artists, activists, and students to experiment, create, and give discarded plastics a new life.
As a non-profit recycling initiative, our aim is to foster hope and self-empowerment in a world overflowing with plastic waste. Inspired by Precious Plastic, we explore new answers for dealing with plastic by combining craftsmanship, art, activism, and education.
In our workshop, plastic waste is grinded to take on new forms like extrusion profiles, fittings, accessories, art & craft pieces, and upcycled furniture.
We love to not only recycle plastics but to inspire and enable local projects that will spark global impact, showing that every community already has the potential to shape a more sustainable future.
