Since Heavy Rail Guns (HRGs) proved too large, heavy, and cumbersome for individual soldiers (or even groups of soldiers) to effectively maneuver around the battlefield, it was decided that supply robots, which were common in most developed militaries by the beginning of the Tower War, would fulfill the need for infantry-based HRG support. The subsequent “WarDog” would prove to be extremely versatile in its uses, as it could act effectively as a forward scout, frontline infantry supporter, and resupply runner in even the roughest of terrain. Due to its modular design, it can be rapidly outfitted numerous ways for whatever task that needs doing. Over 500,000 were produced over the duration of the war.
