By 1967, the U.S. military had over 200,000 Container Express (CONEX) boxes in use. More than three quarters were shipped only once, because they remained in theatre. The boxes were as welcome as their contents.

Doors - left & right individually - can be presented in open (135°) or shut position,
by turning appropriate layers on and off.
