Pope-Leighey House 1939

Pope-Leighey House 1939

John Luttropp
Frank Lloyd Wright’s Pope-Leighey house was built in 1941 in Falls Church, Virginia. In 1965, it was relocated to Wooldlawn, the National Historic Trust Preservation property in Alexandria, Virginia. It was later moved and reconstructed on the same property and is open for tours. The URL is listed here. This model was constructed based on plans from William Allin Storrer’s book “The Frank Lloyd Wrigth Companion”, as well as from personal photos and images found online. Many thanks to those whose models I have incorporated for furniture and details. #Frank_Lloyd_Wright #MidCentury_Modern #Modern_Architecture #Modern_Houses #PopeLeighey Also check out Phil Edward's interview with me about this model for Vox on YouTube at the link below.
