This cart was built to assemble and transport a large remote control airplane (98 inch wing span).
The requirements were that the pilot could deploy and retract the landing gear while the plane sat on the cart, also the pilot wanted to be able to tote the entire plane and accessories from his vehicle to the pre-flight pit area.
Four 3" casters (two swing and two stationary) were added after initial design.
Foam padding was also added to the areas were the plane and the wings rested.
The entire construction was made using 3/4" pvc piping and fittings.
