This is a somewhat crudely constructed lattice-type tower mounted with a copy of the nacelle and rotor blades created by Stephen. THIS is the type of turbine that has dominated the Altamont Pass Wind Resource Area (Northern California) for the past 30 years, and made it the largest wind farm in the world for a few years in the early 1990s. These turbines, however, have been removed already from large areas south of I-580, and are expected to be completely eliminated after 2018.
