Kitchen Counter Display-Shelves with LED-lighting (283kB SketchUp 8 Model).
Wanted to utilize the Kitchen Dining/Bar area a little more efficiently, so I started playing with various designs for display and use of shelved dishes, cups, plates, saucers and perhaps pots and pans too. This was the design I settled on as it offered ease of access to anything placed in the space available to place such a construction, and the LED-lighting strips are available from most modern HOME stores (low wattage use and VERY bright lights as might be desired.) The switch plate and plastic wire-guide tubing is also available for under $20(US) to wire eight of the 18-inch LED strips to the inside underside shelf-surfaces, so they are hidden from direct eye-sight. I used the Google rendered SketchUp-8 Susan 2d person as a Perspective piece only. (Thanks!) Hope someone can use and or be inspired by this.
