San Fernando Central School. new climate-resilient school building constructed and furnished by the U.S. Government in partnership with the Department of Education and the City Government of Tacloban.
The 8-classroom school building is designed to withstand winds of up to 360kph and earthquakes of up to magnitude 8.5 on the Richter scale. The structure is also elevated three meters higher than the average ground level to prevent storm surge inundation.
