Corvair 95 Rampside Van

Chevrolet brought out the Corvair 95 Rampside in 1961 along with a car, a station wagon and a fully enclosed van. By 1964 the trucks went out of production but the car versions continued on for a few years. The truck had a 95 inch wheelbase and was powered by a rear-mounted, horizontally-opposed six cylinder air-cooled engine that developed 80HP and 128 ft-lb of torque. It could handle a payload of three-quarters of a ton. Since the motor was in the rear of the vehicle it needed a raised floor of the cargo bed and had a high lift in from the rear. To compensate for that a portion of the bed's sidewall on the passenger side dropped down and made a convenient ramp to load through. This model has a complete dashboard and underneath has suspension and a detailed Corvair engine and exhaust. #6_cylinder_engine #boxter_engine #Corvair #Corvair_95 #Corvair_Rampside #dash #dashboard #distributor #engine #exhaust_system #horizontally_opposed_engine #mirrors #spark_plugs #steering_wheel #suspension #truck #van #wheels #wiring_harness
