The Hover Pilder (Piloter) is the craft manned by Kouji Kabuto. It is the control center/brains for the robot Mazinger Z when it is docked inside its head. Mazinger Z is a Japanese Anime from the 70's created by Go Nagai. I remembered watching this series as a young boy.
