Dowels are used in CRCM (Concrete Rib Construction Method) as hold downs for walls. The dowels are connected to the reinforcement of the ribs, reinforcement which is attahed to the ribs of the roof; createing a monolithic structure.
Such structure resist natural disasters, is free of mold and termites; and lower cost than traditional.
Dowels are made of steel rebars, in the diameters and lenghts by structural calculations depending of the possible stress at different geographical locations.
