Set to be the next shopping and tourist destination in the fast growing city of Legazpi and with its dominant presence in the city's central business district, SM City Legazpi will surely be a game-changer. A four-level mall with its exterior facade inspired from the decorative details of the "banig", a handwoven mat usually used for sleeping or sitting traditionally made in the Philippines, hence locally made materials will be utilized for interior decorations to incorporate within the whole mall's design. Entrances will be located in front of main highways such as in the northern and southwestern sides and a transport terminal and five levels of parking at the east side with a direct access in the mall. Curtain walls are utilized in the northwestern corner of the mall where the foodcourt is located to provide a panoramic view of Mayon Volcano. It will house four digital cinemas, SM Cyberzone, SM Appliance Center, three-level SM department store and an SM Supermarket.
