Elevated Wooden ladder stand for deer/bear hunting.
Updated 2019-11-16:
Interior of 'cage' and floor platform is 6" wider than before,
with just a few pieces a few inches longer/wider than before.
Floor is 36" wide, with 30" width between the 'cage' rails.
Stand is 38.5" from back of back post to front of front post
You need a Magnum Otter sled, or something that size to haul this even if you have it dis-assembled into it's 7 main component parts.
The flip-up seat gives LOTS of standing and turning around room, and when
down is a comfy 5 degree angle (like a kitchen chair).
Attach a long piece of rope or strap to each of the rear facing eyebolts to
assist in 'rotating/pulling' the stand up into position against a tree. Then
wrap those ropes/straps around the tree and tie them together to secure
the stand to the tree so you can safely climb up and attach the ratchet strap. One ratchet strap around the tree hooked to those same 2 eyebolts (just
above the platform) secures the stand solidly against the tree.
