<b>Scalable stairs</b><p> Set <i>Going, Nosing</i> (Tread overlap at front), <i>Rise, Riser Thickness, Tread Thickness</i> and <i>Stringer Thickness</i> and other parameters to suit. </p><p>Use Scale tool to stretch along X (red) axis to change stair Width. Set <i>Overall Run</i> (along green axis) to add or reduce <i>Number of Treads</i>. </p><p>Set <i>Banisters visible?</i> to 'Neither' to generate steps, or make a ladder using a small <i>Going</i> and larger <i>Rise</i>, and set <i>Show Risers?</i> to 'Hide'.</p><p><i>(2 x Rise + Going)</i> should be between 21.6 and 27.6inches (550 - 700mm) for comfortable 'domestic' use.
You can replace a component such as the Newel Post, Banister rail, or baluster with one of your own chosen profile, PROVIDED you locate the component axes in the same place as the original.
NOTE: If you want to use this in earlier versions of Sketchup than 2017 and have already installed SU2017, you MUST update the Sketchup Dynamic Components plugin from the Extension Warehouse in your earlier SU installation.
