French Art Deco desk

French Art Deco desk

David Heim
The original was made in about 1935 by the French design firm Dominique-André Domi and Marcel Genevriere. Made of rosewood (or, possibly, rosewood veneer), the desk has an inset of light-colored leather for the writing surface and nickel-plated handles on the drawers. The desk’s style is very similar to that of the furniture that Frank Lloyd Wright designed for the Johnson Wax headquarters. This piece also complements a cocktail table by Gilbert Rohde; you can see my model by following this link: https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model.html?id=ufdbed9c7-45be-4a97-a32a-536058139cf7 #Art_Deco #desks #DominiqueAndre_Domi #French_Art_Deco #Marcel_Genevriere #office_furniture #rosewood
