The Vickers Viscount was a medium-range airliner, designed and built in Britain from 1948 to 1963. It was the first to use turboprop engines, manufactured by Rolls Royce. 445 Viscounts were built for a range of international customers, including in North America.
This is my interpretation of a photo of Viscount G-AOHU on the tarmac and ready for boarding at Heathrow airport in April 1958. Less than two years later this particular aircraft was damaged by fire and written off in a landing accident at Heathrow.
