This shape is called an Oloid. This version was specifically developed for easy 3D printing because it stands up on end.
The original oloid shape has a single continuous rounded surface which connects two perpendicular arcs . The 3D form will roll down hill in a zig-zag manner. This shape is also used in industrial mixing applications.
