This is the first entry on a detailed fictional scenario I decided to create, mixing medieval constructions and modern ones.
As I’m starting to learn how to use Sketchup it’s highly possible that there are many bad practices in my design so feel free to point it out.
I used Tim’s (https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/by/Tim) barred door (https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model.html?id=f54ce78d966597b582e7ad9f6be6a597) as a base model converting it to meters. Instead of using a simple wall with texture, I decided to create unique blocks with texture and used the Eneroth erode plugin (http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=ene_fractalTerrain_v1.0.0_2) to create unique blocks and give a more realistic look.
I also used Stenly K. forged hinge (https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model.html?id=u8a6a0716-37ed-4d38-9cb1-92e1b7abfffb) and the garden gate latch from Maenad (https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model.html?id=8fb43d8f4544b875eeff745b3f73bf77).
Special thanks to Tim for the tweaks he made to the model after I uploaded it.
My thanks to them all for their work.
