In sommer 2014 my children asked me to buy or build playground in our courtyard. I began to search in internet and stores but i have found, that most of available solutions are to primitive and others are to expensive. Therefore I decidet to design and build the playground my self. I designed it with varied success whole 2014-2015 winter. Children actively participated in the process and expressed their opinions. Whereby I had to make several versions of it, and in March 2015 was the sketchup model ready (It was the fourth version). Yes, the model is technically not perfect (some screws are missing, some angles are not exact etc), but it is enough exact to:
1. understand how will it be in real
2. count up exact consumption of materials.
I have not counted up the time for designing, but the building of this playground took about 50 hours. Aprox 6 of them I had one assistant who helped me to establish big vertical and horizontal posts. You can see the link to pictures of the building process below. Approximate value of all the materials was 740 eur in 2015 prices in Estonia. I did not have to rent some equipment/tools because I had all what I needed.
Children are very happy!
