The prospective stadium for the capital, Ottawa, is an athletics stadium with an all-seated capacity of 78, 643. It is designed to be a great host, in the event of the World Cup, but also to increase future Olympic and/or Commonwealth games bids. The design is two separate parts: The main stadium, and the Roof. The roof is a tensile supporting system, which focuses towards the centre screen. Construction cost is estimated at C$830 million (today’s rates). #WC2022
