It is a marble statue made by Alajos Stobl. It depicts the greatest Hungarian in a formal gala suit. The pedestal illustrates parts of the quay, with the cable of the boat tied to the anchor buoy. István Széchenyi was an outstanding politician of the Reform Era in the first half of the 19th century.
