Saint-Chamond Medium Tank (version 1) in service with the French Armoured Corps in factory grey livery during the First World War (1914-1918).
The Char Saint-Chamond was a medium tank developed by the French Army during the First World War but was eventually superseded by the lighter Renault FT and the British Mark IV and Mark V tanks. It was named after the commune of Saint-Chamond, where the bulwark of its manufacturer, Compagnie des forges et aciéries de la marine et d'Homécourt (FAMH) was based.
