This highly detailed model represents the HAL-9000 Test Bench located in the Pod Bay of the Discovery 1 Spacecraft from the movie 2001 – A Space Odyssey. It is based, in part, on a design by Harry Lange and a 3D model by Tim Thompson, along with details gained from examination of existing original pod bay production still photos.
Model Background
The dimensions of this model are based on various existing photos of the original Pod Bay filming set.
