Intended for my forested property in the mountains, where I will build a few variations of this building, including small houses, workshops, barns, and other buildings for my remote Eco-community. Large overhangs all around, to protect house from moisture. 6 foot overhang front and back, 4 foot overhang on sides..
Post sticking out at peak of roof, on the front and back is for a block and tackle to suspend a Moose or an engine.
Site made clay tiles, fired, about 3500 in total. 8x8 construction throughout, cut on site using small sawmill and local trees. 1x6 roof strapping. Papercrete in place of the usual Wattle and Daub, using same support and fastening method of traditional Wattle and Daub construction. Concrete reinforced slab and deck, one piece, stained dark grey.
I haven't put too much detail into the 8x8 joinery, but you can see a simplified representaion here.
All components conveniently grouped. Choose the roof tiles and move 50 feet along an axis. Move other groups out of the way to see details.
Intended to be built using site available clay, trees, gravel, and sand, Rebar and cement in bags the only materials to be purchased.
