Spars Ropes Blocks

Spars Ropes Blocks

Terry A.
Signum Ops is my trademark. Do as you like with the rest. This is a collection of parts for the construction of rigging for sailing ships. There are several types of blocks, some spars complete with rope bindings, and shots of rope in half inch, one inch, and two inch diameters. The ropes are round and painted with a rope texture image. To optimize the texture, the rope object needs to be fairly long. You have to keep the length appreciable to feature the texture in an identifiable form. If you need shorter pieces, you have to cut the pieces using an interfacing plane, then explode the piece you want to use. The short piece will retain its original texture at scale. This only works with straight shots of rope as a texture can not be applied to a curved surface (excluding the cylindrical face of the rope object, per se). There is also some hatch combing. The rope rings for the most part are for use as bindings on masts. These parts are being used on a model of the Triniti, a galleass that sank along Florida's coast in 1565, but the gear is useful for centuries of sailing vessels. #blocks #hatch_combing #rings #rope #spars
