Berthier was French rifle constructed in 1890 as a successor of Lebel Mle.1886 but was adopted by military in 1907. It shoot the same 8mm ammo as Lebel. Mle.1907/15 was 100g lighter than standard 1907 rifle. Main disadvantage of Berthier rifle is its magazine that holds only 3 rounds and had a hole in bottom plate for ejecting emty en-bloc clips.
