This a a nominal sized standard TWO by FOUR wood lumber stud that you can buy at a lumber yard. The actual size is 1.5 in in x 3.5 in x 1 inch dressed and seasoned board. This model can be easily made to any length 2x4 with the instructions supplied on the drawing. This 2x4 is a Vertical 2x4.
