The old Wembley stadium which used to stand on the grounds of the current and more upgraded wembley stadium. This stadium had stood from 1923 to 2001 when the last game there was a bitter defeat to our German Enimies 1-0. Never the less, greater games had been played at this magnificent 82,00 seater. The construction cost of this stadium was £750,000, which is nothing compared to our new £750million stadium. For £750,000 it has had its uses.
It was also the centre piece at the 1948 Summer Olympics and the 1966 World Cup, which England won and to this day was arguabley the best game in English football history and arguabley the best ever Wembley game.
