This is a element to boom insulator mount for Yagi antennas. The concept is to use this in the construction of VHF/UHF antennas for the Amateur Radio (Ham Radio) or Television. The reason for my design is because it is very difficult to find commercial made element to boom insulators at a practical price. This one can be made via 3D printing or carved out of PVC trim material found at a big box hardware stores. I purchased my PVC trim from Lowe's hardware.
Construction should be made with UV resistant and electrically an insulator type material. If UV resistant material can't be found you can paint it with non-conductive paint to protect it from the suns UV light. The design is planned for either 1", 1.25", or 1.5" square tubing for the main boom and 3/8" tubing or solid rod for the elements. it can be used in the director, driver and reflector positions. This design is for the construction of a yagi antenna that it's elements are NOT bonded to the boom. This is not to designed to be used on a Yagi that is built using a Gamma Match type construction.
