Phorusrhacos (pronounced "FOR-rus-RAH-kos") ("Rag-Thief", from Greek φώρ, thief, + ῤάκος, rag.) was a genus of giant flightless predatory birds that lived in Patagonia, containing the single species Phorusrhacos longissimus.
