In Hinduism, Garuda is depicted as the vahana (mount) of Lord Vishnu. This statue of Garuda (Sansrit for eagle) is a recent addition to the centuries old temple of Lord Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy on the Ananthagiri Hill.
