Based in the Orkney Islands, off the north coast of Scotland, this boat represents the work of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. The Severn Class is the largest type of boat in the RNLI fleet and examples are stationed at 35 locations around the UK and Ireland. They provide coverage up to 50 miles (80 km) out to sea.
