In "Star Trek, The Motion Picture" this ship can be seen in a drawing. Theoretically, it was one of the first Starfleet ships to be named Enterprise. It used an annular warp drive system, which I think looks so much better than nacelles.
The XCV-330 was going to be in another Gene Roddenberry show called "Starship", but the show never launched and the ship design ended up being absorbed into Star Trek lore.
