With total disregard for the conventions of a normal house, I created my ultimate dream home. Call it Demi’s Architectural Meltdown if you like. It started with the idea of a concrete structure built into the ground like a bunker, combined with my vision of a central swimming pool with a curvy balcony, big arches, and varnished woodwork suggesting an old fashioned theater. The master bedroom would be up top like the wheelhouse of a ship. From there I let the house evolve without any plans, so what it finally became, even surprised me! There’s a guest suite that can be used independently of the rest of the house, a beautiful kitchen, a sunroom downstairs with a media nook and bar, a hot tub, and a roof deck connected by a spiral stairway.
