The SD70ACe is a six axle diesel electric locomotive manufactured by Electro-Motive Diesel, formerly the Electro-Motive Division of General Motors. Production of this locomotive began in 2004 and is still ongoing today.
Norfolk Southern rosters 71 of these locomotives, ten have been painted into heritage colors. NS 1066 has been painted in the New York Central lightning stripe scheme.
