I spent weeks on this model, getting every specific detail accurate as possible. It is also the first time that I have inserted a two dimensional image onto a three dimensional model made on sketch up. Specifically, the 1980 Royal Mail logo. The only parts of the van I was unable to replicate were the curved edges and the door handles.
Postman Pat was one of my favourite shows when I was very little and always loved his van. In the beginning this model was just something I made out of boredom but as time went on I put more and more work into it by doing research, getting it almost exactly they way it looks in the show.
