This diagram illustrates a CMU cleanout formed by temporarily cutting out a portion of the face shell and then mortaring the face shell back into place after inspection of the grout cell, securing it with temporary bracing prior to grouting. The person using this diagram shall be responsible for its complete design and proper application.
