The Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum, in Minneapoils was originally established in 1932, and is used as a teaching and resource of art center at the University of Minnesota. In 1993, Architect Frank O. Gehry designed the current building, that is a artistic masterpiece, laying adjacent to the Mississippi River. The buildings west facade is resemblant of the varying currents and glimmering of the river. In March 2007, Gehry and the University of Minnesota revealed a new expansion to the museum, which should break ground at the end of the year.
