The Skyfox is an Unmanned Research Aerial Drone concept. This UAV is designed to test the capabilites of a high speed-high maneuverability UAV platform with a low radar signature. As a result of the need for extremely short take-off and landing distances the field requires, Skyfox employs several types of speed brakes including the "Speed Sponge" which replaces the typical dorsal speed brake of many high speed fighter aircraft, allowing for a light weight and compact system that provides extensive drag producing surface area.
