Set of apple boxes used in film making. They are used for leveling dolly track or raising set pieces. The standard sizes are 12"x20"x8" for a full, 12"x20"x4" for a half apple, 12"x20"x2" for a quarter apple and 12"x20"x1" for a pancake.
