The Ravenswood Power Plant is a series of electrical generating units which cumulatively outputs 2,480 megawatts. Its largest unit called "Big Allis" was for decades the highest output unit in the world with an output of 1.1 megawatts alone. The complex is located in the borough of Queens in New York overlooking the East River.
