Banjoes and Stallards, Launceston

Banjoes and Stallards, Launceston

Robin V.
This small 2 story building located on Brisbane Street's "Avenue" in the heart of Launceston's CBD was once part of a long row of shops that extended to "Naturally Tasmanian" but the mid section was demolished separating the building in two. This section currently houses Stallards Camera House and Banjoes Tasmanian Bakery which recently underwent major renovations. The rear section backs on to a small pedestrian laneway and was added in the late 1900s. Detail is lacking on parts of the model's rear section due to poor visibility from ground level. Despite the 2 separate businesses sharing the building, this is a single, free standing structure that is unable to be separated into multiple buildings. Information will be altered upon review.
