This model represents the USS Orville (ECV-197), a 25th century mid-level Explorer-class Planetary Union vessel tasked with exploring the Union's home quadrant of the galaxy. With a crew of 300, the 337 meter long ship is equipped with a 10 light years / hour triple engine / loop FTL Dysonium Quantum drive, deflector screens, dual plasma canons, multiple plasma torpedo tubes, retractable tractor / cutting beam projector mounted aft of the forward torpedo tubes, and the ships shuttle bay located at the rear of the main. Based on the downloaded Orville mesh by status451_cg, the model was extensively modified using internet and printed resources, along with the Orville DVD screen captures, to represent the series shooting model as closely as possible. The tractor beam projector can be lowered via the Layers menu, as can the shuttle bay doors which reveal a detailed shuttle bay interior with shuttle.
