Clark Hall, featuring state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratory facilities, is devoted to the Biomedical Engineering Department. In fact, construction of the building was the first step in the creation of the Whitaker Biomedical Engineering Institute. The building is named for A. James Clark, chairman and chief executive officer of Clark Enterprises and University Trustee Emeritus. Clark, whose construction company served as general contractor, provided private philanthropic support toward construction of the building. The project is also supported by a leadership award from the Whitaker Foundation and a capital grant from the state of Maryland. <<----- NOTE: Model's terrain is the Decker Quadrangle model. ----->>>
