The Tacoma Dome is one of the largest wood domed structures in the world at 530 feet in diameter and 152 feet tall it has 23,000-seats, was completed in 1973, and hosts more than one million guests annually for concerts, professional and amateur sports, trade shows, family shows, conventions, and more. The Tacoma Dome’s roof was built with 1.6 million board feet and weighs 1,444,000 pounds. Over 24-million cubic feet of concrete was used in the construction.
