The first set of solutions from the GEN_VMT collection, winner of the Red Dot Product Design Award 2020, are the PENRAY 02 Tiles. Presented in 4 different shapes, these tiles can be combined according to the will of each person.
This results of geometric research in fields of pentagonal tiling where each individual piece is in the shape of a pentagon. In this exploratory work we were looking for a shape grammar that allows generating endless combinations of single or double main shapes.
