The Victory IIss-Class Star Destroyer. A sorely needed upgrade from the II-class series. First put into service 12 years ABY.
The Victory IIss-Class Star Destroyer builds on the legacy of the II-class 900 meter warship that had seen service since the Clone Wars. Although few II-class ships were built over the years, their utility did not go unrecognized.
The IIss-Class boasts the following upgrades:
+ Chiss Ascendancy Heavy Megamaser Double Turrets (x16)
+ 128 Heavy Turbolasers (6.4 times more than its predecessor)
+ Faster Hyperdrive and Faster Sublight (80 Megalights versus predecessor's 12 MGLTs)
+ Two additional tractor beam arrays
+ Room for an additional squadron of TIEs, bringing total to 36 fighters.
