This is the famous Luger P.08 pistol, also known as the Pistole Parabellum 1908. It is a toggle-locked, recoil-operated, semi-automatic pistol, and was designed by Georg J. Luger in 1898. It was used by the German army in both world wars but superseded by the Walther P38 after WWII due to the P38’s lower manufacturing costs. It was one of the first semi-automatic pistols, using a jointed arm to lock, as opposed to a slide action of almost every other semi-automatic of the period.
This model contains all of the parts of the standard pistol, including springs, internal mechanisms and bullets and is based on the one created by Bruno Znidarsic from the original Luger blueprints.
