This is my tour-de-force... it is the design I always wanted to create way back when I made my first "Palace" design some 6 years ago. This model is completely my own work from start to finish, which is another thing to make me proud. The inspiration for the basic shape of the design is from the Palais de Louvre and Schloss Schwetzingen. The photo-textures come from Leuven Old Town Hall, because I was going for what I call a Hanseatic Gothic feel. There are also elements representing Bohemian Gothic, specifically Tyn Cathedral. Oh and of course I am still enamored of Euro-Japanese fusion architecture, hence the Japanese shoin tenshu remains part and parcel of my design.
