A simple model of QuaDror modules to structure a wall. A video by Dror Benshetrit with examples of the structure possibilities is found in http://www.quadror.com/ . Remember that his structure is protected by a pending patent. The model is presented here as a simple way to understand the QuaDror geometry. A more systematic procedure to design Quadror walls is found in the model "Quadror Geometry".
The website Dendroica (http://www.dendroica.com/woodworking/projects/quaDror.html) shows how to make a module in wood and offer a SketchUp model of the QuaDror. However, Dendroica's model starts from a square instead of a rhombus and so leaving voids when the Quadror modules are arranjed side by side to form a wall. The systematic procedure found in "Quadror Geometry" solves this lapse. Anyway, Dendroica presents a very interesting discussion of the relations between QuaDrors and both Buckminster Fuller’s octet truss and Roubo's folding bookstand (see model http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=1f0754cdc4df6736310af74324aae27f&prevstart=0). #Dror #modules #QuaDror #wall
